Name:
Lucas Eugene Scott
Brief History:
The only child of Karen Roe and Dan Scott, Lucas was born on May 20th, but his father abandoned him and his mother, choosing instead to marry another women and have another son, Nathan. Lucas instead grew up looking up to his uncle, Keith Scott who was more of a father to him then Dan could ever be. He went on a camping trip with Keith when he was 6 and he accidentally hooked his thumb and began crying, Keith cut his own thumb with his pocket knife and pressed his thumb up to Lucas' thumb, claiming they were now "blood brothers", this caused Lucas to cheer up. He played football as a kid, even becoming his teams MVP. He also began playing baseball, but when he was being teased for being Dan Scott's bastard son, and finding out that this upset his mom, he decided to quit it so they didn't have to see Dan's face. This was when he found out who his father really was and that he had a brother.
At some point, Lucas began playing basketball with his friends at the river court. He got really good at it and was a natural. He also began working at Keith's garage after school. He met his best friend Haley and the two have been friends forever it seems, playing golf on the roof of his mothers Cafe, talking about music and books and all kinds of stuff. Haley became a big part of his life. Lucas wanted to stay as far away from Nathan's crowd as he possibly could. For awhile it worked, but he couldn't run away from his past forever. However he developed a crush on Nathan's girlfriend at the time, Peyton. He soon was recruited by his uncle Keith and Whitey Durham to join the school basketball team, Nathan's team. He didn't want to join at first, but he decided he wanted to prove Nathan and Dan wrong and accepts Nathan's challenge to a game. The stakes were if Lucas won, he would join the team. Lucas eventually won the game as was the newest member of the Tree Hill High Ravens basketball team.
Things didn't go smoothly for him on the team at first. He had to put up with hazing, he had to earn his spot and the respect of his team. One thing that did go well at first was Brooke Davis. When she showed up naked in the backseat of his car after a game, he didn't know what to do, however he was to good of a guy and finally convinced her to get dressed. He eventually began to fall for her however and they began dating. Brooke became his first real girlfriend, and the first girl he had ever loved as more then just friends. His mother goes away to cooking school, leaving Lucas and Keith to fend for themselves. Lucas' life began to spiral out of control and he began seeing Peyton behind Brookes back. Not wanting to hurt Brooke, but also not wanting to lie to her, he decides to tell her finally, but before he could, him and Keith get into an auto accident when going to pick up Karen at the airport. Lucas was rushed to the hospital by Dan Scott of all people and it saved his life. Lucas finally tells Brooke as he is recovering, causing her to get upset with both Peyton and Lucas. Both relationships with both girls comes to an end, Lucas realizing he made a mistake too late.
Later Brooke tells him that she thinks she is pregnant, but she finally reveals that she was lying to him cause she was still hurt about what he had done to her. Things with the team began to improve as well as Lucas' game. Him and Nathan began leading the team to the Championship game. However, as Lucas took the last shot of the game, the shot that would of won them the Championship, a shot he had made a million times before, he missed it, causing the team to lose the game. Luckily Coach Whitey wanted Lucas to return next season to the team. Lucas however, plans on leaving Tree Hill with Keith, however after finding out that Dan had a heart attack, they eventually return. Lucas and Dan's relationship changes as Dan seems to have changed after his heart attack, but Lucas soon finds out that he was faking being a new man. He begins trying to repair things with Brooke and Peyton and becomes friends with them again. He also begins seeing a new girl, Anna, but they soon break up when she confesses to being gay, he and Anna remain friends. He begins trying to take Dan down and finds a ledger of his illegal dealings. However, Dan finds a way to cover it all up. Lucas, finding out that Brooke has to move away, kisses her, telling her that he wants to be with her, however she still leaves for California.
Lucas ends up saving Dan in a fire at his dealership, and Dan thinks that Lucas started it, but he did not. With his heart condition he begins taking medication so that he wouldn't die on the court, but it begins slowing him down and making him play badly. Brooke returns and they begin a "non-exclusive" relationship, her idea. He uses Rachel Gatina, a new cheerleader in town to make Brooke jealous and see that he is the only guy for her. However life suddenly becomes even more complicated when the spell is broken, and the whole town learns that half of the people were from another world. Lucas didn't know what to do, but he knew that he didn't want to throw them out of town like some people did. When his brother Nathan is put under some sort of spell, Lucas wants to try and help Haley save Nathan, but he doesn't know what to do. Things just got a whole lot more interesting in Tree Hill.

Lucas couldn't believe what was going on. One moment he was worrying about basketball and school and girls, and rather or not he was gonna drop dead on the court at any given moment, and the next there was magic and half the people of the town were from another world or something? He honestly didn't know what to think about it all. He had made some good friends with some of the people, but they also scared him. Lucas knew of his... condition, how weak his heart was, and if someone whom had a strong heart, like Nathan, could be manipulated by them, then it was only a matter of time until one of them decided they wanted to rip Lucas' heart from his body. Placing his hand on his chest he groaned a little. The medication was keeping him from pushing himself to hard, but he had to keep taking it. Going over to his gym bag he opened it and took out the bottle of medication. The black pills a stark contrast to his light skin. He only had a handful left. Perhaps his lack of funds and his dwindling supply was a sign that he should stop taking them? He knew the risks of continuing to play, but he had to, he wanted to. He didn't feel that life was worth living if you couldn't live it to the fullest.
Taking the pill, he chugged some of his water before returning to the river court he shot the ball and it hit the rim with a loud clang. He knew one thing for certain, the medication was keeping him from being his best, so if he stopped taking it... he didn't even want to think about that right now. He ran to grab the ball when he heard a sound come from the tree line. "Who's there?" He called out to them, he didn't know who he could trust anymore, he heard that some of them were so powerful they could kill you by just looking at you, that and many other rumors that he didn't want to believe. But he did know one thing. Tree Hill was home, and it was now not only his home, but it was their home as well. He would never join the groups that want them to leave. He was not anyone's enemy really, though certain people viewed him as such, he did want to help out Nate if he could, but he didn't know what he could do. Haley said she was working on it, and Lucas learned long ago never to question her when she put her mind to something, but he didn't know what she could even do either. He felt a really bad pain in his chest and he clutched at it. "Whatever you want, I am not your enemy." He said with as much conviction as he could muster, for all he knew, this person could very well be his enemy. Maybe it was someone that he actually wanted to see right now, but with everything going on in Tree Hill, he wasn't sure.
